Skilled, talented, attention to detail and craftsmanship mark our carpentry and construction services. We design, build, remodel and maintain closets, kitchens, bathrooms, additions, renovations, basements, attics and collaborate with other contractors and tradespeople. We are sensitive to green building practices and have training working on historic structures. We also design and build decks, porches, outbuildings, sheds, raised garden beds, fences, gates, patios, retaining walls, and hoophouses and greenhouses.
In addition to residential scale projects, we specialize in large-scale, estate, community, and commercial ecological, sustainable, edible, native, and permaculture landscapes. We source plants from our own nursery and a broad group of WNC wholesale-only nurseries that offer container and field-grown plant materials. We source soil, amendments, mulch, stone, and lumber from local suppliers. We are most interested in diverse, polyculture landscapes and farm projects that contribute to a viable local foodshed and food economy.
We grow and market more than 200 varieties of annual and perennial vegetables, flowers, herbs, shrubs, and trees. We attend local and regional special plant sales and host seasonal plant sales at our Bailey Street main production nursery. Our plant material is grown using organic fertilizers and soil media. We propagate most of our own material from seeds and cuttings and source other plant liners from reputable local and regional growers. As designers, we oftentimes recommend that landowners initiate small nurseries on their properties, rather than purchasing mature plants at retail prices.
